Husqvarna Diamond Blades

Are all diamond blades the same is a frequent question or why should I spend a little bit more on a Husqvarna diamond blade than a cheaper competitor?

The answer is quite easy really, you pay for what you get and if it’s cheap it’s cheap for a reason.

Husqvarna diamond blades are available in Gold, Silver and Bronze performance bands which allows you to select the correct blade for your application and therefore have optimal performance and minimal wear.

Husqvarna produce in excess of 1 million diamond blades a year and have a dedicated R&D centre which are constantly researching and innovating diamond mixes and blade design to optimise cutting performance. With a Husqvarna diamond blade you get Exo-Grit segment design which ensures a high blade cutting speed whilst reducing the side friction by improving the waste slurry movement. This ensures that the blade life increases as the wear is decreased.

The Z Edge design of the Husqvarna diamond blade increases the contact between the blade and the material that is being cut, this reduces the friction and vibrations that inevitably happen during cutting therefore resulting in a fast, smooth cut and again helps increase blade life.

And finally the Husqvarna diamond blades have a 3 layer sandwich which reduces the noise compared to other diamond blades and coupled with the indicator on the blade that give an instant view of the blades wear, rotation, cut depth and side clearance means that your Husqvarna diamond blade is a safe, operator friendly one which ticks all the boxes in todays heath and safety and environmental considerations.

So, to answer the question not all diamond blades are the same. Something might be 10% cheaper but if it only lasts 50% of the time compared to a Husqvarna diamond blade by my simple mathematical calculation it doesn’t work out cheaper in the end.

Have a look at the Husqvarna diamond blades on our website, the popular ones are on there and we aim to expand it to cover 90% of the available blades in the future.
